The Illustration

There are moments in life when you simply don’t know what to do. You’ve prayed about it. You’ve thought about it. You’ve looked at it from every direction, and you still don’t have an answer. Sometimes the hardest thing to admit is, “I just don’t know what to do.”

The Scripture

2 Chronicles 20:12

The Biblical Connection

King Jehoshaphat was facing a situation bigger than him. A powerful enemy was coming against Judah, and he knew they did not have the strength to handle it on their own. So Jehoshaphat prayed. He didn’t pretend to have everything figured out. He simply admitted, “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” His uncertainty did not mean he had lost his faith. His faith was revealed in where he looked when he didn’t have the answer.

Life Application

You may be facing something today that you cannot figure out. You’ve considered every possibility and still don’t know your next move. Don’t let uncertainty push you into panic. You don’t have to know the whole plan today. Keep praying. Keep seeking wisdom. Keep trusting God. You may not know what to do, but you know where to look.
